ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Madeline Gonzales
Hello, my name is Madeline, Maddie for short.

I’m twenty-four, an apparel designer, nature lover, and creative at heart. I grew up in Ogden, Utah, surrounded by mountains, salt flats, and endless landscapes that shaped the way I see the world. Most of my childhood was spent outside—skiing, hiking, playing tennis, gardening, and swimming in lakes every summer. That love for nature has never left me, and it’s at the core of everything I create.

I’m currently studying Outdoor Product Design and Development at Utah State University, a program that blends two of my favorite things—design and the outdoors. I have a deep love for fashion and trend research, sketching, collage art, and recently discovered that I really enjoy experimenting with natural dyes. The slow process of hand-sewing garments and creating pieces that feel intentional is something I value. Sustainability is a huge part of how I think about design, and I admire brands that prioritize quality and longevity over trends. My goal is to create apparel that not only lasts but ages beautifully.

When I’m not designing or dyeing fabric, I’m out running trails, climbing rocks, filming on my Leica, or traveling to places that inspire me. I love meeting people and hearing their stories—because to me, that’s what makes life meaningful.
